Our Crossbay Funeral Home Facilities

In the early 1960’s Stephen Oddo opened what is now the Crossbay Chapel under the name of Stephen Funeral Home to serve Ozone Park and Howard Beach area families. In 1991 Lewis Rovegno, of the James Romanelli Funeral Home, purchased Stephen Funeral Home. He combined the two names, creating the James Romanelli – Stephen Funeral home.

In January of 2012 the James Romanelli – Stephen Funeral Home underwent complete renovations, closing for 16 months to complete this large task. In April of 2013 we re-opened, offering a newer, larger facility better designed to accommodate one family at a time. Our spacious chapel is warm and inviting and tastefully decorated with plenty of comfortable seating available for guests.
