Our Ozone Park Funeral Home Facilities

James Romanelli Funeral Home has proudly been serving Ozone Park and Howard Beach for over 100 years. In 1987, Lewis Rovegno purchased the funeral home and expanded two of the viewing chapels to better accommodate guests. In 1992, he purchased Stephen Funeral Home and combined the two names, forming James Romanelli – Stephen Funeral Home.

In 2001, we underwent a major expansion to meet our growing needs. We added a spacious new front lobby as an area to welcome guests, with large windows and skylights for natural light, and comfortable seating. In order to make our facility more accessible, we installed a wheelchair lift and accessible washroom. Lastly, we updated our look and feel by refinishing the exterior, and inside added fresh paint, new carpeting and classic and comfortable new décor.

Our chapels now offer flexible spaces that serve as a comfortable place to pay respects to a loved one, providing multiple set-up options and room configurations that work for small or large services.
